I'm Špela, a professional illustrator and character designer from Slovenia, specializing in creating vibrant, detailed, and engaging illustrations for children's books.

With a expirience in KDP publishing, layout design, and typography, I  can take a book from concept to completion.

My love for art began in the small town of Senovo and has flourished in the creative atmosphere of Ljubljana, where I bring stories and characters to life through my illustrations.

 

As an artist, I’ve always been fascinated by the power of visual storytelling and strive to create illustrations that not only capture the imagination but also connect deeply with young readers.

I've had the pleasure of illustrating several books, including Good Night Floppy Bunny and The Boy Who Could Not, Would Not, Go to Sleep, both available on Amazon.

 

I’m particularly proud of my work on Betaquatro and the Time Capsule, a book designed for children with special needs, which has been warmly received both in Slovenia and abroad.

My artistic style blends digital techniques with the timeless charm of traditional media, using vibrant colors and intricate details to bring characters and scenes to life. Alongside illustration, I handle every aspect of book design, from layout and typography to final publication, ensuring that each project is polished and professional.
