Hello,
I’m Špela, an illustrator and character designer from Slovenia who believes that every story deserves its own touch of magic.
As a child, I spent countless hours with colored pencils, brushes, and books – drawing, creating my own worlds, and flipping through picture books whose illustrations told stories long before I could read them.
Because of my dyslexia, I’ve always perceived the world a little differently – more through colors, shapes, and feelings.
This unique perspective now helps me create illustrations full of imagination, warmth, and life.
My artistic journey began in the small town of Senovo, and today I create in Ljubljana, where I joyfully tell stories through images and bring to life characters that awaken a childlike sense of wonder.
What I Do
With extensive knowledge in KDP publishing, layout design, and typography, I make sure each book comes to life — from the first idea to the polished final version.
I see every project as an opportunity to create something special — illustrations that not only capture attention but also form an emotional connection with both children and adults.

I am especially proud of Betaquatro and the Time Capsule, a bilingual book (Slovenian and English) created with children with special needs in mind, soon to be published by a traditional publisher.
